Quickstart
This guide takes you from a fresh account to your first answer in about five minutes. You'll connect one source, wait for it to sync, and ask a question.
Before you start
You'll need:
- A Kinn account.
- Admin (or equivalent) access to at least one source you want to connect — for example, a Discord server you manage.
1. Connect a source
- From your dashboard, go to Sources → Add source.
- Pick the platform you want to connect (Discord is the quickest to start with).
- Authorize Kinn when prompted.
See Connect your first source for the detail on permissions and what each platform needs.
2. Let it sync
After connecting, Kinn pulls in recent history and then keeps up in the background.
3. Ask your first question
Once the source shows as synced, open the query bar and ask something in plain language. Good first questions:
- What are people complaining about most this week?
- Are there any new bugs being reported?
- What features are users asking for?
For how to get sharper answers, see Writing good queries.
What's next
- Add more sources so Kinn sees the full picture.
- Browse example queries grouped by what you're trying to do.
