Kinn for QA teams

Your bug tracker only knows about bugs someone bothered to file. Kinn gives you the other channel: the thousands of people describing broken things in your community, your reviews, and your store listings who will never open a ticket.

Two things change once that channel is connected:

  • You find issues earlier. Problems show up in Discord and Steam reviews days before they accumulate into a filed report — especially device- and configuration-specific ones your test matrix doesn't cover.
  • You can size an issue before you escalate it. Instead of "some players are complaining," you can walk into triage with how many, on which platforms, and whether it started with the current build.

Your week with Kinn

Monday — sweep. Run the weekly cross-platform sweep for newly reported issues, grouped by theme, with anything appearing on multiple platforms flagged. Start triage from that list instead of a blank page.

After every release — watch for regressions. Name the version and ask what's being reported now that wasn't being reported before it. This is the fastest regression signal you'll get that doesn't depend on someone filing a ticket.

Before you escalate — size it. Any issue heading for a sprint discussion is worth one prevalence question first, so the conversation starts with a real number and a per-platform breakdown.

Ongoing — chase the specifics. When something looks concentrated in one source, ask what the reporters have in common. That question is how "a crash" becomes "a crash on Steam Deck after the 2.4 update."

Start with these

  1. Triage bugs across platforms — the core weekly routine. If you read one page, read this one.
  2. Deep research — how to get a defensible number, and how to read what Kinn reports it couldn't see.
  3. Size how widespread something is — turning "some players are complaining" into a number before you escalate.
  4. Bug detection & triage — how Kinn decides something looks like a bug report.
  5. Writing good queries — the habits that separate a thin answer from a useful one.

What to connect

Prioritize breadth over depth — cross-source spread is what tells you a bug is real rather than isolated.

  • Discord — detailed reports from your most invested users.
  • Steam — where strong reactions land first.
  • App Store and Google Play — device- and OS-specific issues that surface nowhere else.
  • Reddit — a more detached read, useful as a sanity check on severity.

See Integrations for the full list.

Once you're finding real issues, connect your tracker too — Kinn can search it for duplicates and file new issues with the evidence attached. See Jira.

  • Sentry — pair what people report with the errors your telemetry actually recorded.
  • Jira or Linear — file issues with the evidence attached.
